CSA Farm Share

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” Individuals purchase a “crop share” prior to the start of the growing season (usually in the winter/spring months). Members help support the farmer financially and in turn, the farmer is able to grow fresh, local produce for these members in the upcoming season. Once the growing season begins, members come to the farm weekly to pick up their share of freshly harvested vegetables/produce.

Agriculture is at the heart of Adam County’s economy. We are committed to preserving these productive lands for future generations while growing healthy, naturally-grown produce for the community to enjoy.  Want to become a part of this community?

We are offering weekly boxes of fresh, local produce to our community, as well as prepaid CSA cards. Because this is our first test year, we are offering a first-year trial discount on shares/cards. This period is experimental and we appreciate your patience and feedback on your experience throughout the season.

About our Plants & Vegetables

Many of our seeds and plants are either marked as organic or heirloom.  We also use other seeds and plants that we have found are able to stand up and survive against the natural elements and insects in our area.

We try to have a variety of fresh, delicious vegetables each season.  These vegetables can include tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, green beans, peas, jalapenos, carrots, lettuce, arugula, turnips, radishes, edamame, beets, spinach, cucumbers, celery, squash, greens, kale, mesclun, onions, leeks, cabbage, potatoes, pumpkins, gourds, herbs, and more!

We have teamed up with a few local farms to bring you an even greater variety.  When we have an unsuccessful crop or another local farm is offering something that we don’t currently grow, we may use some of their crops in our CSA shares.

*”Card” refers to a card we will issue each CSA Member to keep track of your balance and spending. This is not your typical, plastic gift or credit card. We are in a research year and would like to receive as much customer feedback as possible.
